2018 Outstanding Service Award Winner

Congratulations to Hilary Tuohy, the winner of the LPGA Amateur Westchester 2018 Outstanding Service Award!

2018_Touhy_Service_Award_2.jpgAfter reading an article about our Chapter in the Westchester Magazine, Hilary joined LPGA Amateurs - Westchester in 2008 to learn to play golf and quickly became hooked on the game.   At the end of her first year as a member, Hilary was persuaded to join the LPGA Amateurs - Westchester Board.   She gladly stepped up to the plate and served two years as Sponsorship Chair where she kick started our Sponsorship program, then one year as Vice President and two years as Chapter President.

Today, not only is Hilary continuing her generous support of our Chapter as a Gold Sponsor, she is helping shape the future of LPGA Amateur Golf Association on a national level.   After serving a two-year term as Treasurer on the EWGA National Board of Directors starting in 2013, Hilary spent one year as Vice President and then was voted in as President of the National Board in 2016 and 2017.  She continues to make a difference as an advocate for all LPGA Amateur Chapters and has played an instrumental role in identifying and transitioning our leadership positions, and forging our alliance with the LPGA.

For almost a decade of dedicated volunteerism and support of our Chapter, we are proud to name Hilary Tuohy the winner of our 2018 Outstanding Service Award.  Thank you Hilary!

Outstanding Service Award

Because of the importance of our volunteers to the success of our Chapter, we are pleased to announce a new recognition program  – the LPGA Amateur Golf Association - Westchester Outstanding Service Award.   The winner of this inaugural award was announced at the 2018 Tee Off Luncheon.

The award will be presented to an LPGA Amateur - Westchester Chapter member (not currently serving on the Chapter’s Board of Directors) who represents the “best of the best”: a dedicated Chapter supporter, active volunteer, advocate and mentor.   The winner will receive a free one-year renewal of their LPGA Amateur Golf Association membership.

Thanks to our Volunteers

Our Chapter is privileged to have dedicated members who consistently support our Chapter and volunteer their time to truly make a difference.    We thank all of our volunteers for their time!
